Animated GIFs Not Supported

In Hitfilm, animated GIFs cannot be directly imported. When an animated GIF is added to the timeline, it is played back as a single image, not an animation.

Solution

There are two options for using animated GIFs in Hitfilm:

1. Convert GIF to a video file: Convert the GIF to a video file, such as an MP4, using a video converter software or online service.
2. Import GIF as a sequence of images: Import the individual frames of the GIF as a sequence of images into Hitfilm. This can be done by extracting the frames from the GIF using a software or online tool.
