Alexander Zverev Wins Second Rome Open Title
Zverev Claims Sixth ATP Masters 1000 Crown
Defeats Nicolas Jarry in Straight Sets
Alexander Zverev has captured his second Rome Open title after defeating Nicolas Jarry in straight sets on Sunday. The victory marks Zverev's sixth ATP Masters 1000 triumph and his first since last year's Madrid Open.
Zverev, who won his maiden Rome Open title in 2017, dominated the match from the outset, breaking Jarry's serve in the opening game of the first set. The German continued to apply pressure, breaking Jarry's serve again in the fifth game to take a commanding 4-1 lead. Zverev held his nerve to close out the set 6-3.
The second set followed a similar pattern, with Zverev breaking Jarry's serve early and building a 3-0 advantage. Jarry fought back to hold his serve in the fourth game but was unable to break Zverev's rhythm. Zverev sealed the victory in style, breaking Jarry's serve for the third time in the set to win 6-4 and claim his second Rome Open title.
