History

The Northern Ireland national football team represents Northern Ireland in international football. It is governed by the Irish Football Association (IFA), the governing body for football in Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland have never qualified for a FIFA World Cup, but they have qualified for the UEFA European Championship on three occasions, in 2016, 2020, and 2024.
